This is a copy of another Richard Thorn painting entitled ‘Along the meadow path’. He talks about it in this book.
I made a little drawing first:
And ended up with this:
In the book he talks about tone,depth and use of colours. I have messed up by using too deep a green across the middle. The effect is to make the whole thing a little flat.
Parts of this are quite pleasing though and compared to earlier efforts it’s not too bad an effort – it is a little bit of progress.
